Exhaust Prices$$$???

Hey guys!

I'm in Ontario and just went to a local Midas and got quoted roughly $650 for a dual exhaust system. Not true duals, a flowmaster 1 in 2 out and the tips coming out the rear next to the hitch. That is way better than the price i got quoted from another garage at $915!! for a Magnaflow system. What do you guys think about prices, am I being taken for a ride??

well i guess it kinda depends on the type of pipe they use, is this for a stainless system? and was the magnaflow a custom system or a bolt on kit??

i know if its stainless around here for duals you will be around 500. But I cant figure out why they would charge so much for a magnaflow system.

Keep in mind I'm in Canada too, with 13% HST. It's daylight robbery for most things here. Thanks

If thats normal for your area, great. But that is way to expensive IMO.

I had a Magnaflow high flow cat, Flowmaster Super 44...single in, dual out, 2.5 inch pipe into two 4 inch chrome tips...all done on my Bronco for under 700.

The exhaust system on my Ranger cost me 325. Single in, dual out Flo Pro Super V muffler, 2.5" pipe into two 14" long 4" chrome tips.

That's about what you would pay out here on the coast. For aluminized pipe. It's the biggest reason why I just did a muffler swap

WOW! That's highway robbery. I have about $550 into my exhuast.

300 for headers/y-pipe
250 for custom mandrel bent 3" single in, dual 2.5" out, Flowmaster Super44, and 3.5" Silverline SS tips completely welded.

It was for aluminized pipe, a Flowmaster Super 44, and custom welding and bending to fit?

$50.00 plus $30.00 installation for my single muffler configuration (flowmaster), but the restriction lies in the cat converters on Rangers, put in High Flows of those and then do a dual exhaust, it will sound much better. My Ranger has two cats on it still and I can have the exhaust dumped and a prius still might be louder than it
