Ranger Bogging Down Catalytic Converter???
My 95 Ranger has been bogging down as of late. It acts like its smothered or something. Reminds me of like a lawn mower or something! You give it gas and it coughs and bottoms out especially on take off and on hills. Is this probably a catalytic converter issue? It's never been replaced.

Another possibility of a bogging issue can be the MAF sensor, if it is reading incorrectly, the fuel mix will not be correct causing either a too rich or too lean mixture, thus bogging

I wish I could cut my cats off, they make the exhaust sound like a whistle at wide open throttle, but we have very strict emissions laws here
