Stole a Motor Today!

Picked up a 4.0 with 75Kmiles out of a 99 Ranger for $150. Also have a comp 410 cam on its way as well. I'm going to start tearing it apart this coming week ill post more pics as i progress.

Damn really good deal. Howd you come about finding that deal if you dont mind me asking? Id buy one for that price for just in case, even if I didnt need it.

Damn for $150 i'd buy the engine and be looking around for a truck to put it in instead of the other way around like ususal xD

Fishy2k8 knew the guy with the motor and was willing to let it go for cheap! But not much planned besides cam.

Ran into some problems today. Studs for the exhaust manifold are bent on one side and on the other side others are cut halfway off. Tried to soak and torch them but had no luck. Luckily Fishy2k8 has spare 96 heads laying around that we might use.

Nice, I got a 93' explorer with a rebuilt tranny, motors not running, but I got it for 250, so Im going to rebuild the motor, rear axle swap, leaf springs, and bucket seats, im going to follow this build closely.
