swap 3L for 4L

I have a 1999 ford ranger 3.0 4x4. I was wondering if it was some what of a direct swap to a
4L if not what can be done

a 4.0 will bolt in assuming you get it from a similar year truck. but you are going to need engine, transmission, wiring, computer, mounts, throttle cable, cooling, a/c, accessories, etc.
