4.0 OHV with some oil in antifreeze....

I was checking my antifreeze tonight in my '97 4.0 OHV with 84,000 miles on it and noticed that i had oil in it. Now the antifreeze wasn't milky it was green with a FEW small spots of oil on the top. do i have a headgasket problem because what thought that if the headgasket was blown it would be a milky brown. i just changed it about 2,000 miles ago(which has been about 4 months!) so i know somethink is up. I think it is a blown headgasket....HOPEFULLY THAT IS ALL IT IS!!! is there anything else that could cause oil to be in my antifreeze? Should i change both headgaskets while i have it apart and just to be sure i got it fixed?

Now i have good mechanical knowledge. so i can change it myself. I plan on while i have the engine tore apart to install an e-fan, a new water pump, and upgrading my alternator to a 200 amp

Was everything installed right??? Have you beat the living **** out of your motor??

A buddy of mine spent $5k on his new small block in his Chevy, and he ended up on the first drive, revvin it up to 8k anad blowing his head gasket the next day. It may just be a bad gasket, that's not blown.

When I flushed my radiator it had oily gunk in it just from it being crusty.
If its just a film I dont know if I would worry.
I would maybe take an oil sample and send it in for oil analysis to see if there
is antifreeze in your oil. costs about 20$ you do it when you change the oil.

I have heard that the earlier 4.0 OHVs had a problem with the heads getting cracks in them.It could be that or a blown head gasket. My 4.0 OHV has 166,000 miles on it and has had no problems.

i talked to my dad about it yesterday.....he told me not to worry about it because the antifreeze wasn't milky it was just green with a FEW spots on the top. he riminded me that a couple of months ago my water pump was making a really LOUD whine noise. we put a cap full of oil into the radiator and it quite. this was before i changed the antifreeze so i guess it was just left over what didnt come out.
