EGR and emmissions
Long story short my 94 ranger had a 4.0 swapped into it when I got it (no idea what year). The engine on the truck is bad and I picked up a complete 97 4.0 engine for cheap. I took the accesories off the new engine, cleaned everything and painted. I decided to reuse the old upper intake as it looked cleaner. What I didn't notice was that the old intake doesn't have a EGR port and the new one does. I live in Cali and have strict emmissions testing. Can I just plug the EGR valve or plug it at the exaust manifold since the other engine doesn't didn't have it? If worse comes to worse I can clean the new intake and retap the EGR bolt that broke off
