upper intake manifold gasket help
i am about to replace my upper intake manifold gaskets (Lean codes) . and i am doing it by myself. so i would like to ask more experienced people some questions. Like:
A list of tools i am going to need?
Any trouble or complications anyone has ran into?
Estimated wrenching time?
***and last but not least can someone please post a LINK to a website where i can buy the gaskets that are needed? '97 4.0 OHV
RF is always great help, Thanx

I've never done them on an OHV before but I don't see how it'd be any different than most other vehicles and you should be able to get away with just basic hand tools.
Rockauto.com is a good website for parts but you can also buy the gaskets at any local parts store.
I'd pick up a Haynes manual or something similar for your truck... they take you pretty much step by step through these sorts of things!

I bought 2 felpro kits off rockauto, nice stuff.
All you need is simple hand tools for most of the job 8 and 13mm are the majority of the bolts.
You will need an Etorx set and a torque wrench to get the correct seal.
The Etorx is to remove the fuel rail to get the gasket between it and the lower. If you pull the fuel rail you are suppose to replace the injector o-rings. To install the injectors easier a little lube of say Vaseline works quite well.

I used this kit and did valve covers at the same time as its only a few more bolts once you get down that far.
