Last night, when I went to start the truck, my HVAC blower wasn't working at any speed.
also, the air bag light indicator came on steady. (no codes were flashed)
The fuses/relays are ok. My Friend is sure it's the blower resistor, But after checking the "search" feature, i read that if the blower works only in the "high" position, it's not the resistor.
Am I looking at a new Blower motor? Also, why would the air bag light come on?

Recheck fuse #2 in the dash fuse panel.

 

fuse was bad, changed that. relay also was bad, changed that, then my friend (who is a mechanic said the resistor "rusted together" so the 2 metal sides were touching, causing an "arc" which he said most likely blew the relay and the fuse.
OK... resistor, fuse, relay, all changed, everything worked... UNTIL about a block after i left his house.
and the air bag light is still "on"

Any circuit that is protected by #2 and shorts to ground could cause the fuse failure. If the truck is an automatic, one known problem is the wiring to the Overdrive Cancel Switch on the end of the shift lever. At higher miles, the wires sometimes fracture or chafe through the insulation, causing the short. After removing the upper plastic cover from the column, you can inspect the two wires where they exit the hollow shifter tube.

update: PROBLEM SOLVED! (don't Laugh) because the problem wasn't the blower, or resistor, or the relay or even the OD switch or even in the front area of the truck at all!
I had noticed earlier that one of my Rear driving lamps that i added a few years ago was not working. Well, i saw that the wiring to the lamp was frayed and against my hitch receiver. I thought... "could this be the problem?" IT WAS! seems that whenever i would engage reverse, the frayed wire would cause the fuse to blow.

 

I wish my electrical issues were as easy to solve as yours. Not saying yours was easy but it turned out to be something simple. Nice job!
