Engine Oil Leak

My main front and and rear seals in my engine are leaking the rear more than the front, a lot more. I used this stuff called no leak. I was wondering if anyone has ever used this product and do you think if would actually cure my oil leaks.

I have heard it works so well that it blocks the oil from getting through any oil passages completely.

Get it fixed. That's the only way to stop it. It'll avoid a bigger problem down the road. I have the same problem, my rear main seal is leaking, but luckily it's leaking very slowly.

I wouldn't worry about that small of a leak.

It doesn't need to full. As long as its in the cross hatched area your ok. Just check it often.

Change your oil every 3K? That's what I do for more than one reason.

Before you go changing the seals.. check for excess crank case pressure.

With the engine idling take off the oil cap and feel for positive pressure pushing on your hand.

Then clean (or replace) the PCV. Then repeat the pressure test.

If the difference is not obvious put a pressure guage on it and find out what the spec is.

In my experience.. both seals leaking is almost always from excessive crankcase pressure.

If it leaks that slowly, Auto Rx may do the trick

The pcv point is something to check out. Its a regular maintenance item anyway and only a few bucks.

If it doesn't rattle when you shake it, its junk.

Its a potential problem. It goes bad over time. its not going to hurt to replace the cheap part.

It may not be the answer though, it does help with emissions.
