water/meth
i have yet too see a topic on water meth recentley. what are you thoughts on the Snow Performance: Stage 3 Gasoline MPG MAX® Boost Cooler® seems like a decent product. I am at a total loss of what i want too do too my truck so what i like about this is how it is not specific too my engine. what are the ups and downs of this ?

I know it works great on a Turbo or supercharged application as it cools in the intake charge, more diesel guys are jumping on the bandwagon and seeing gains near 100HP+ as it cools the intake and acts like a fuel. I'm not sure what you would see on a basically stock gasser, I'm guessing not a large gain. If you notice, it's called a boost cooler, and if the stock application sees boost, they list the kit for it. In my mind, I wouldn't waste my time on a stock gasser.

That is used for forced induction engines (turbocharged or supercharged).
A supercharger (and especially turbocharger) produces a ton of heat, which makes the air less dense, which means less power. That is why most turbochargers have an intercooler which is an air-to-air heat exchanger. Basically a radiator for the intake air. It cools the air back down to make it more dense. Water/meth is injected to cool the air down even further making it more dense, resulting in better combustion while also raising the octane rating with the alcohol.

Wont do much for your vehicle. They work well for high compression NA vehicles that may have issues with pinging or running on lower quality fuel. I knew a guy that had a 70 Cougar with a modded 351C in it that ran one of these simply because he was running 11:1CR with iron heads. It was tuned well, but hot days and certain inclines would make it ping like a ****. The water injection was used to curtail the pinging.
Our vehicles do not need that. With the advent of knock sensors and whatnot, the computer will compensate and prevent the sort of occurance that this kit is designed to do.

that one? Thats meant for a diesel. Which are forced induction and the wrong fuel. well, for the engines they have kits for anyway.
