I screwed up big time
Well I was drilling the holes for my spring hanger. I am doing a chevy spring swap. Well by now I think you may be able to guess what I did. The hole nearest to the brake and fuel lines. Can you guess yet. Well if not...the drill bit broke through, the drill twisted in my hand, knocked the piece of steel I had protecting the lines out of the way and nicked one of the lines. It is the line that is braided black nylon I guess covered one of those plastic covering thingies. Anyway the line goes to the frame rail towards the engine. I am guessing it is the supply line.
I need a new one. how do I replace it and where do I get it from. Since I now have a fuel line leak and a truck with no leaf springs.
It's been a very crappy day. The dog also stepped in poop and tracked it all through my house. ah what a nice summer afternoon.

my fuel line is metal...
I am wondering if it is not the return line or the vent... if it is patch it.
Edit dont patch it if its related to fuel or brakes... there are a couple other lines back there too. it would be imporatant to know which line u cut.

Well here are some pics. The red box is a pressed in fitting. It is not removable atleast I don't think it is. The line that I am holding is the leaking line. The flexible line connects in the red box to a metal line. Which goes toward the engine.
By the looks of it I assume I have to take that whole metal line out along with the flexible line off the top of the sending unit. Then get that replaced.
Anybody have any idea how much ford would charge for that.
I am going to check out the nylon repair kit mentioned by Doc and see if I trust it and if it would do the job.
Edit
The connection in the red box looks just like the other connection that goes to the gas tank side. But it doesn't have the quik release connection on the very end.

I just threw up. 177bucks not something I was wanting to hear.
That really sucks I guess an exhaust is no longer in the works.
The wife suggested while I have the bed off to replace my exhaust.

I believe Bryan is pointing to the fuel supply line based on the fact that it looks more akin to a high pressure line/connection.

When I pulled mine all apart for the fuel cell it came off easily. The piece that is broken connects at one end to the tank/pump and the other at the filter. There are also several plastic clips that hold it to the frame in between. And no, I don't have mine anymore, it got broken in the removal process, then I had it modified, then I scrapped it. Good luck!
