86 EFI 5L no PATS into a 2002?
Hey everyone, ive been doing some research on dropping in a 86 EFI 5L with the C6. My trucks a 2002 ranger edge. Im new to this so forgive me if ive missed this somewhere, but i couldnt find my answer. The 86 5L is out of a old F-150 explorer according to my buddy who has it. Its EFI, and from what ive been told there is no PATS on that year 5L. My 2002 has a PATS and im just wondering how i would make this work together?
As for everything else that i can think of off the top of my head i need, a body lift to clear the C6 (how much lift really is needed?)
-Need to fix the speedo to work, for this age 5.0 would i do the 2.5/2.3 (cant remember lol) 2001 gem modification?
-Torque monster or explorer 5.0 headers/ manifolds
-engine mounts
-Will my stock fuel pump be sufficient or do i need some sort of a regulator?
-Is the stock rad for the 3L good enough to keep the V8 cool?
Thats everything off the top of my head i can think of for now, again i apologize this is my first go at a engine swap
