super charger questions

As far as the carb I don't know much about that particular one. I think it'll work if you fully surround the carb.
As far as the cam. You'll be fine with the e-303 The more boost/nitrous a guy uses you want less and less overlap. Overlap will "bleed" off the charge and cause you to not make as much power as you could.
IMO unless your pushing more than 7psi (intercooled) you won't see any appreciable gains.

I have seen where you can buy a " blow through " carb. I dont know what makes it that way and why or why not you would have to use one. They are very $$$$ carb to buy. If I dont have to use one that would save me some money. But if I have to use one then I will. I just dont know if its nesesary.

Carb difference has to do with the fuel bowl vents. If you use the Paxton carb bonnet which fully encloses the carb then less mods are needed to the carb. If you apply boost to the top of the carb only (like air filter mount ring) and you have a carb with an external bowl vent (look for a little round rubber disc which is lifted by a lever via linkage) then you're asking for a fuel leak out the external bowl vent under boost . . . not good.

Something to consider before droppin a grand or three.. Make sure your rear will hook-up and the suspension will take the extra torque to use the added power.
Its great to have something to drool over and the ' envy factor ' pulled from everyone else.. but if ya cant put the power to the ground.. or have traction problems.. it would be better to make what ya have work first then go bigger.

I am running a Edelbrock 600cfm now and I dont see a external vent. Traction has never been a problem at this point. It is a posi rear end and that has made a huge differance. My 5.0 has been in my Ranger for almost 6 years now.
Someone is selling a powerdine with a bad impeller. I had tried to see if I could find a replacement and dont see where I can get just the impeller. Is this how that brand is made? and you have to buy a hole new head unit? Is Paxton a better way to go? Thanks everyone for your help.

My bad, I assumed you had a Holley or BG. I don't know what is needed for blower mods on a Edelbrock/Carter. FYI, depending on the power level you might make you need to make sure your fuel delivery is adequate too if your current fuel supply is still stock.
I have a 351W I stuffed in my '86 to replace a worn 302/AOD and fortunately it's not a high HP engine but I've blown the spider gears out of 2 limited-slip 7.5" rears and have since upgraded to 8.8 LS w/3.73. You may not have problems with traction now but be open minded that you may soon find the weakest link in your drivetrain if you still have good traction after a power adder.
BTW, it's silly fun being able to just punch it and break both tires loose at will.:)

As it sits right now, my set up seem to run just a little rich now. I guess it will be a trile and error to see what will have to be changed. But first and for most, I have to save enough money first to even get the supercharger. Limited budget here, so little by little, some day soon I am hoping to be supercharged!!!!! At this point im just trying to gather all the info as to what I will need. Thanks for everyones input.

Edle1406 Modle? If you look on the front by the base, it will have the info stamped into the aluminum there.
If you have any of the AFB type Knock-off Edelbrocks.. They don't like pressurized boost.
