The time has come for me to take the plunge and swap my ranger. The 3.0 gave up on me so I figured I might as well just 5.0 swap it instead of putting another 3.0 into it. I’ve done my research already and have bought myself a 1999 explorer 5.0 to match up with my ranger, the only question that I have is regarding the whole awd situation. I would swap it whole and just run awd through it but the only problem is that my ranger is 2wd. So is there anyway I can just swap the front end over from the explorer into the ranger and run it that way or am I going to have to either get a 2wd trans or swap to a f150 TC?
