Yes! It's about time. Your truck has always been a favorite of mine. This is icing on the cupcake.

have fun with the B-cam. lol your ECM will throw a constant code, and you will have to get it tuned live to compensate. Just giving you a heads up if you didnt know already. #1 disclaimer from FRPP "On EFI engines, performance camshafts work only with mass air induction systems. Will not work with Explorer EEC-V EFI. " It does but that is what causes the code. you will run rich constanlty. mine is tuned and i still run rich. again not trying to hinder your build but take it from experience. your at the stage that you can easily remove it and put the stock one back in. I have been subconscienously wanting something to go wrong to give me an excuse to break my engine down and put the stock cam back in.

Then MegaSquirt it. We did one for an Escort with a KLZE V6 swap, its not super hard if you have some electronics skill.

Then you can tell people you built the ECU yourself and tuned it, that'd be a cool feeling.

Why would anyone run speed density in a 5.0 - mass air is the way to go, I learned this long ago.

And get youself a set of rockers and pushrods while you are in there, it made a bigger difference for me than the cam itself.

AND if you intend to rev that thing - GET an ARP oil pump shaft.

he could, but those are obd1 which you can't use a handheld tuner on.. could have a chip burned or use megasquirt or quarter horse, but i prefer obd2 sct tuning.. i don't see why with a good tune there would be any issues, I've watched a few build up's of mustangs getting obd2 computers and stuff from 5.0 explorers with aftermarket cams and other goodies
