I haven't got them yet but I will be getting a set of L&L swap headers for mine, since I have their motor mounts also.

Naw I don't have any pics of them, but I'll try to get some. I know of someone using them he dosen't have pictures of them uninstalled, but he does have a few shots that you can see them installed. He also has pics of their hedders. Let me see is if can find his webpage.

For the 98+ you sre stuck using stock explorer manifolds, FRPP "headers", or Torque Monster headers. I am opting for custom headers to replace my FRPP jokes.

Are you sure about that? A 5.0 hedder is a 5.0 hedder weither or not it fits a certin frame is another question.

I found that website Jason's Ford Ranger , he is 84 longbed on TRS. You can see the headders on page 5, and the mounts on page 5,6,7.

Yes, I am sure. I have trial fit every 5.0L header I can get my hands on and other have tried as well. The frame on the 98+ will not fit other than explorer specific V8 headers unless custom.

Thanks man, i was gonna make my own out of 1/4" plate as shown in the tech part on www.therangerstation.com but would like to see what the swap one's look like.

I guess my only concern is that i miss aline the motor, and have hedder fit problems..... i havent bought any either so i'am kinda flyin blind here.

I have pics now I'll get them loaded up shortly. I should mention that these mounts are used so they don't look as good as new ones right now, before I install them I will be cleaning and painting them flat black along with the rest of the engine bay.

See what i'am worried about is the angle and aliment, of the motor.
If i make mine out fo 1/4" plate the motor will be sitting flat ( no angle ).
I was thinking that i would have to shimm the plate on one side to get the 302 to tip towards the rear a bit.

Not too good a pic but lets you see where i'am at, and ya it's going for a paint job after i'am done with it, it's faded baddddddddddd He He He

With the 94, you have many more options than the 98+ guys do. I am no expert in the pre 98 trucks, so I will leave it to the others to answer your questions.

Well L&L lists the hedders as being for the 83-90 RBVs so the motor mounts may be the same, so I don't know how they would work. I know that they are held in high regards as when I asked if I should get them I was told to jump on the chance, and that they are the cadaliac(sp?) of swap headers. I would suggest looking arround TRS and RPS (where I just found out that I was a member, and I don't remember signing up) for more info, I am sure that there are a few people over there that have asked the same question.

In my latest summit racing catalog, they have headers for a v-8 swap in a ranger. Another company also offers a kit that gives you the mounts an aluminum radiator, headers, ect... everything except the engine/trans. Livernois motorsports sells this kit.

Over Chirstmas Holiday I made my headers. Here are some pictures. You can tell why there are no mustang headers to fit the newer trucks! Even with all those bends, it is very tight to steering, suspension, and dash. Requires custom oil pan too.

Is that a hedder kit that you are using ? I was told that it might be best for my application, plus might be cheaper than a store bought set of hedders.

No, I bought a box of bends from STALH headers, had custom flanges water jet cut, and bought the merge collectors from an aviation parts supplier. I will have $1200 into these when complete - not accounting for the massive amount of time!

Sorry I haven't looked back at this in a while. Yes those mounts are solid. As I said I don't know if those will work on anything newer than a 90' model. The website is www.landlproducts.com.

They cost $160 from the company but I got mine for $100. the only problem that I have heard of with them is that you have to use their hedders, or build custom ones.
