puting a 302 in my 87 ranger
i have a 1987 ranger that my dad bought as my first truck . now we got the truck from the original owner and it came with a late 80's 302 roller motor well got it all for 250 bucks . the truck is very nice not rust at all so im super excited for this truck to be done . my dad and i talked to a guy that has did the ranger 302 conversion kit like 6 times and he said that there is a website that has a template for the motor mounts well me or my dad cant find it so if you have done this before please help if you ether know what the site is or what we need to do for the plates please feel free to post it thanks

Slapping a 302 in there will be life changing for that Ranger. A friend of mine put a 350 in an older 80's S-Dime and the thing was retarded. He never had it street legal and it was never out with regular traffic. The tires couldn't keep up with the HP and the thing was too light in the *** end.
Fun project though.
Hopefully someone chimes in to help you out.

im almost finished with my project. 302 in a 90. just need to bolt down the motor and do some wiring. im getting excited. here are some websites if you havent found anything yet.
Ford Ranger V-8 Engine Swap
Ford Ranger Bronco II V8 conversions kits, transmission adapter, motor mounts, aluminum radiator, oil pan, billet cap, A/C pump
building your motor mounts you just kind of have to set the motor in and measure for your self but here is the template that shows you what they will look like.

I put a 5.0L in my 88 STX 4x4, completely different Truck.
I got the complete adapter Kit including headers, Oil Pan, Oil filter Relocation Adapters, from L&L Products. A little pricey BUT I have to say they were very impressive, the parts were made of heavy gauge steel, the machining was top of the line, the headers were made from heavy gauge steel w/ ½” flanges, all of the parts were HD all the way; “You get what you pay for”.
I contacted then about a kit for my 2003 and they do not have one but IF they did I would buy it.
