HELP Fuel pump problems?
Hello, I installed a 99 exp 5.0 into a 2002 ranger edge. I have been driving it around some but having an issue with fuel delivery. Last time I drove it I got on it to show a friend how it ran, wound it out in low and then it died and wouldn't restart. Pulled it home, next day went out and started it. It ran fine for about 4 seconds then stopped again, tryed again hour later and a slight almost start so I'm guessing a fuel pump but before I buy one I check voltage at the connection ( C4033 ) pin 1 fuel pump\fuel gauge sender getting 4 or 5 volts, pin 2 fuel pump, power getting 12 volts, pin 3 fuel sender, logic ground no power, pin 4 ground no power. Is this correct? Also C4074 (ranger) C311 (exp) same plug are different except for pins 4 (reference voltage) 5 (inst cluster output) 6 (ground) Do I need to repin C4074 (ranger) to C311 (exp) specs, also I can't even locate C4074 on the ranger (help anyone?)

You shouldn't have to touch any wiring at that connector. If it ran before and now it won't then your problem lies elsewhere, unless the wiring is loose or disconnected. Listen to see if your fuel pump is kicking on, check fuel pressure, and if it will crank but not start then chances are you have a bad fuel pump.
