V-8 Explorer transplant

If I were able to find a V-8 Explorer (2001 or older) thats basically been totalled out but is still salvageable, would all or most of the parts along with the 5.0L V-8 be transferable to a 2001 Ranger regular cab short bed? i.e. Radiator, power steering, AC, etc.

P.S. I realize that I may have to use a different drive shaft but oh well.

If you go to Ranger Power Sports they have many articles that deal exactly with this. I suggest going there and doing some reading. This is one fairly common V-8 swap I believe...

Keep in mind that you generally need an engine that meets emission standards for the vehicle year you're driving in many states. It makes transplants a problem in some places because you need a late model transplant which is, of course, mo' money!

Talk to Todd (TMSOKO) on G-E. He has a 5.0 Ex drivetrain in a 99 Ranger. Claims it was mostly bolt in and plug in with some exhaust fabrication necessary. He has since added a Kenne Bell supercharger and Level II rear axle to it.
