Here's pics of it the first 10 mins it was on my door step :)
I managed to do some work today to the truck... I installed the computer, cruise cable AND throttle cable... Whew hard stuff is done, now on to the easy stuff, R2 motor lol
Friday is when i plan to remove the 3.0 and attempt to install the 5.0 w/o transmission... There is a couple things id like to do before i get that tranny installed. Thats pretty much what ill have to wait for when it comes time to drive this thing :(

Damn dood, that's terrible. So bye bye 3.slow huh? At least you had this upgrade in mind! The weather is perfect out in Cali for this swap, but if you have a nice shaded area in Phx it won't be so bad.

I am right there with you as I live in Queen Creek and I am in the middle of my 5.0 swap into my 94 ex/cab ranger. Here is a couple of pics of mine.
Out with the old 3.0
In with the Explorer 5.0
I have four of these Explorer engines at my place so if you need anything let me know as I might have it......Mike.

We could argue this all day long... I think was i was trying to say is that running a p head isnt as big of a deal as people make it out to be.
The mustang guys argue this all the time and if you believe the internet, there are tons of headers that people are using with P heads. You just need to do the research before you buy them.
I am building a motor right now... Its got P heads and a non-P header on it from BBK. Just used 90deg boots and voila.... done.
You can also get a spark plug with a shorter snout on it which will help fitment.
Ps... none of this matters becuase none of the mustang headers will work on a ranger frame.
ok hi-jack over....
Mudslayer- hurry up and get that engine pulled so you can send me my parts!! haha
