The main reason V8 swaps become more and more of a pain around here at least is that you HAVE to pass emissions for your year vehicle. Thus taking a motor out of say an 85 stang would have to pass the emissions for my 01 ranger. That is what makes it unrealistic for me.

thats why you take the motor out of an 01 explorer and stick it in your 01 ranger. which makes it almost a plug and play operation.
