The way I take mine out is remove the 2 7mm screws right above the HVAC panel on the radio bezel and pull the entire bezel out. Then you can push in the metal brackets holding the radio in and slide it out. You can also get the radio removal tools at any auto parts store, I just find this to give you more room to work back there.

Depending on the wattage of the amp depends on what gauge power and ground wire you need. Run a power wire directly from the battery with a fuse as close as you can get it. Easiest way is to unbolt the fuse block and drill a hole right under that to run the wire through the firewall. Then under the floor to the amp. To ground it wirewheel some paint away to bare metal and put a self tapping screw in the floor to ground it. Then run the RCAs from the headunit to the amp on the opposite on side of the truck as the power wire. Then RCAs from amp to sub and your good to go.

Check out Korey89s new how-to, he installed a Inifinity basslink which is basically the same thing as what you want to do.

Clothes hanger or a double din radio remover tool from walmart.

Yes, there are truck boxes made by various companies. Walmart has cheapie 1/2" particle board but I would reccomend something from Q-Logic or RF or Kicker or something.
