shallow subs.

so i want to put either a 10" or 12" sub in my 2004 ranger xtra cab. i would like to still be able to use both, or just one of the fold down seats in the back. im looking at shallow mount subs with shallow boxes. suggestions? and ive seen on some of my other posts that the air space inside the box determines the sound quality? whats that about? im new to car audio so i have no idea. if you could give some pics of your guys's set ups so i can get an idea. thanks

im interested in seeing pics too
but yea if you search there are sites that have air space calculators and if you match the box size to the subs requirements it will sound best i think

not an ex cab, but im running a single pioneer shallow at minimum air space per company standards. the subs are very affordable, hit hard and transition clean. this is the simplest system i have had in years and i love it..

I have a kicker cvt 12 inches with a 600 watt amp and let me tell you it kicks hard. Very very clean, and everyone who goes for a ride wants to know where i got it because they want one.

I have a very clean set up. I will post pictures up tomorrow. You guys will love.

This box carries a 10" with the amp under mounted. The wires travel through the console, where my front speaker amp is located. Both jump seat can be used for small kids or one big with legs getting massaged on top of the box
