Factory Sirius Question

Will the factory installed Sirius Antenna work with an aftermarket radio? I have a Kenwood Head Unit I want to install in my truck. It is Sirius capable, and I know that I will need the Sirius tuner. Just curious if I will need to change the antenna as well.

I don't think so. I just took apart my radio and installed a new one. There is no special antenna connector, it's 2 connectors that plug into the back of the radio, that is it!

you have to bybass the sirius box in the glove box.....one you unplug the ant from the sirius box you can run that right into yoru radio...thing is the wire is not long enough since it was made to go to the glvoe box not the head unit area...so you ahve to get a anttena extension from siruis..............
