Trash find
I found an entire dolby 5.1 stereo set up at someones curb with the trash so i nabbed the speakers. I took two small sub woofers out of them.
I plan to wire them in with the two rear speakers in my truck. I tested that earlier and it powered them pretty good so i'm not worried about an amp. I'm going to build two small speaker boxes and put one in each corner of the back of my truck.
Does anyone know what dimensions i would need to make a speaker box to hold one is? Also, any tips for building the speaker boxes? i plan on using 1/2 inch MDF.

Not sure on exact specs for that sub, but a kicker in the same size "Sealed Box Volume 0.20 - 5.66cu. ft. "

I always used 5/8" MDF, but because it's so small, you might get away with 1/2". I also use wood glue to seal the inside to create an air tight box and stuff it with polyfill(pillow stuffing).

I have a 222watt amp you can have. It is from my old old old old setup..
Sony XM-222
"Speaker impedance 2 – 8 ohms (stereo) 4 – 8 ohms (when used as a bridging amplifier) Maximum output at 4 ohms 100 watts per channel 222 watts (monaural)"
Then all you need is a 8 guage wire from your battery(with inline fuse about 6" from the battery) to the amp, an 8 guage wire grounded to your truck, rca wires running from your cd player, and tap the accessory wire(ussually blue) from behind your cd player aswell. Mount and wire the subs, and BOOM!
