Got a sweet new head unit

Upgraded from my very basic kenwood which gave me 5 good years.

This one is a Jensen MPA6611X

-60 watts x 4, 240 peak watts
-18 watts rms
-CD/MP3/WMA/SD card/USB/iPod/XM ready
-Motorized swing down face

The audio guy I go to sold it to me for 100 bucks!

I love how it controls my ipod and charges it at the same time, have both the ipod cable and aux cable running out under the dash, I just set my ipod on the CB while cruising

I wanna try to rig up something where I can hide the ipod in my ashtray, I never use it anyways, anyone ever do somethin like that?

I've never heard good things about Jensen, so just watch it. Looks sweet though.

Running the wire isn't the problem, it's that my old school ipod is too big to fit in there! so I gotta figure out a way to hack up the little ashtray that pops outta there to fit the ipod

pull your ashtray out, and take the two screws that hold the base in the hole, you can cut the top of that brace out, and then cut a little of the ashtray out too, i got the same dash and i am putting my switches where the ash tray used to go, just making a flat plate to cover the hole and mount everything small i need.
