CB Antenna Location Help!!!

I've had bad experiences about bumper mounting, could never get em grounded good.

I had a 102" whip I was going to bumper mount, but I wanted the black Firestik 2.

and it's perfect in the bed of my truck, and is just over 7.5' tall altogether, and sends and recieves for 30+ miles.

i agree! and get some power through the antenna so you dont sound like a mud duck! my amp fits like a glove under the passenger seat!

there isnt a whole lot of tuning to do with 4 watts of power.

just wanted to show you guys my progress give you an update. i ordered the mount that ford4life suggested in the link above (actual two) along with 2 wilson 3ft whips and the cobra 29 wx nw st ( wasted my money got it cuz i liked teh green now it looks like its going under the driver seat cuz theres nowhere to mount the beast) and a 10w loudspeaker all from the site ford4life suggested so far i got the whips mounted heres a pic..

the mounts clear the tonneou real nice and im really happy witht he install now i just have to wire the whole thing up and get it tuned in

yea ill take some pics tomoro during the day basically the mounts i used it a clamp that goes inside the square opening in the top of the bed rail and extends outward... i have a bed liner that overhangs the rail so i had to dremel out (was very scared doing so lol) around were the antenna's stub up... then just reinstalled the tonneou back over the top fits nice rolls up nice

Very nice. Yea Im bouncing around the idea of relocating my antenna or possibly going dual.
