How do you get the HU out?

Does it have the little holes in each side of the head unit face for a removal tool?
If not, you have to first remove the center bezel (two screws) and then unbolt the bracket.
But if it's like my 2002, you need the "Ford Radio Removal tools", or you can take the bezel loose, unhook the other harness connections to it, and pull it out until the radio comes off its slide mount.
The tools are easy to use: just press them in gently until you feel the first click. Then pull them out towards the doors, and pull back.

Yeah, it's got the four holes. I figured they be something like that so I stuck a small allen wrench in as a feeler to see what it was. I'll see what I can do with stuff laying around the house. Do you know if they have a sub-port on the back of them? It's the mp3 HU but not a 6 disc changer. I got some spare sound systems laying around and looking for just a quick hook-up for the time being.

I bought the tools for $5 at Pep Boys a while back. They're worth having and unlike hangers they have little "*****" on the end of the rods that engage to give you "traction" to pull the unit out. Worth having.
If you have to get it out, just take the center bezel off like I said. Once it's out far enough, you can push in the spring clips with your fingers and get the radio out.

Alright, well that was a big dissapointment. I was trying to get it out while I was posting it going back and forth. There is no sub-port like stated above (I didn't see that until just after he posted that. I did find something though. Some kind of amp. output thats not used. Can anyone tell me what it's used for?

Ok, so I really appreciate all ya'lls help today. I ended up going to Radioshack and said," I need a Line Output Converter." I explained exactly what it does and they had no clue what I was talking about. So I went to Walmart and bought one for $17 and put the Kenwood 600w amp in with my 12" MTX sub. This thing is LOUD inside but you can't hear it outside and that's just the way I like it. I think I can honestly say that's the loudest I've ever heard Freebird in my life. Thanks again.
