HELP ASAP i have no preamp outputs to hook my amp to

like the title says i bought a sony headunit (cdxgt11w) about ayear ago and today i bought my buddys 10" sub and box and amp the whole setup now i know i dont have preamp outputs so i guess im going to have to buy a line output converter this i guess http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SLC4...w&rvm=ShowAllt because he lost the speaker level input plug for the amp (he didnt need it because he had preamp outputs so is thiss all i need and how does it work? i want to install this stuff on saturday so the sooner i get answers the better oh and this is the amp if it matters http://www.crutchfield.com/p_607XA50...01.html?tp=115 anyways thanks in advance and i hope i get this figured out soon

oh and i also tried calling the company who built the amp but waited 10 minutes on hold both times waitin for someone to answer

you need a line converter about 16 bucks from best buy

I would get that one from best buy. You dont need the 4 channel amp hook up.

oh also were should i hook it up at right behind the head unit or off the rear speakers im think in behind the headunit would be easier since you have left and right sides there you do have too hook up the left and right side speaker wires right or will one side work

i was told off the rear speakers but behind the head unit would work too just make sure you hook it to the left and right sides

yep ok thats what i thought bestbuy says they cant ship it to the store so i hope they have them there instore so i dont have to wait a week to get this all hooked up

well i just got back from bestbuy i got an install edge line output converter its adjustable from 2-50 watts i think i hope to get all this stuff installed saturday i do have one question though will this need adjusted or do you guys think it will be ok as is?

ok well i just got everything hooked up and it sound pretty good but it could be better when the volume is less than 10 it sounds great but when you turn it up any more it starts to get some distortion i guess you would call it like the bass doesnt sound as good and you can understand the words anymore i mean my buddy has 2 12's in his blazer with a huge azz amp and it sounds great and when you turn it up you can still understand the words

hey yea allyou need is that hi to low converter. you can hook into your rear speakers with it so you dont have to run the rca's all the way from behing the deck. hope this helps, i did the same thing in my buddies ride. not the best cuz you have no sub controll on the stereo but it def works

yeah well i hooked it up in the dash and then ran the rca's to the back im probabbly going to mess around with the sdjustments on the converter tomorrow and try and get it soundin better with that before i adjust the amp
