paint color for sub box

paint color for sub box

building a sub box and i dont know what color to paint it...i want it to be really shinning but i dont know what color?? suggestion???

3/4 MDF of course...i build all sorts if boxes all the time....but this one will be mine. pics up soon when i finish it.

i think its been covered here before, but you will probably run into problems with the wood soakin up the paint, requirin more and more paint.

yeah Def,

Fiberglass it first if you are going to paint it.

or at least bondoe the wood, but im not sure how well it will stick.

i know paint being a problem...iv done it before....i dont know how to fiberglass it...i want to do that but dont know how or dont want to pay some one big bucks to do it...

so read a couple howtos, buy some supplies, and get to crackin. its like any other skill, takes a lil practice, but once you get it, youll love the possibilities.

To get it to look like the way you want it i would build the box....Then brush on a thick coat of fiberglass resin....sand it out primer wet sand and then paint it the color you want....i did this for a buddys chevy and it turned out sweet....looked like it was molded metal....

ill try that....just brush on some resin and sand like a motha....

yea it will work....trust me...and if you put your time in it....it will be one nice piece....

similar to what i recomended. it should work, but takes time.
