i wasnt sure where to put this thread so mods move it if necessary. i want to know what program i can use on my pc to help me build a sub box? i want it to tell me what size the boards are that i need to cut, cubic feet and a possible 3d effect of the box before i have to assemble it. i want it to be free or very cheap. any ideas guys?

Try this http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/box_wizard.asp It helps if your in a pinch and have an idea of what type of box you want. Im sure there are better programs out there..

go to www.linearteam.org and don't download the pro version...
It's the program I've always used and as long as you have the majority of the specs on the sub, your box will sound great. Of course, you can hardly go wrong with a sealed box.
Just make sure your box is always rock solid!!!

Is there a program that will do that AND do custom sized/shaped boxes?
