Comparing Sub/Amp Combos! Need Help!

Well its sub time for myself but im stuck. Ive got a reg cab and im going to do the 40/40 seat mod an put a 10 in a custom sealed enclosure/console, i know that much for sure. I want to stick with Clarion because its what everything else in my truck is. At first i was thinking of this combo

Amp

Sub
http://www.clarion.com/ca/en/product...706937032.html

But the guy at the local custom car audio shop suggested that because my truck is so small i go with this combo

Amp
http://www.clarion.com/ca/en/product...706937036.html

Sub
http://www.clarion.com/ca/en/product...706936086.html

I dont need to worry about mounting depth because of the box it will be in, and within reason, im not picky about a few dollars. Im not looking for earth shattering power, just more potential for the lower range freqs. What would the general RF public suggest?

I agree, I also heard that those shallow Clarion subs aren't made for loud bass, if thats what you want.

My co-worker just put a single Kicker L7 8" in a ported box behind the seat of his S-10 with a Kicker 300 watt amp and it RAILS!
