Amp power wire question

Amp power wire question

I was just wondering where you guys are running your power wire in from your firewall?

Just drill a hole and then use a rubber grommet, that's what I did. There's two bolts that secure the fuse box under the hood, unbolt them and move it out of the way. When you move it you'll see there's plenty of open space to add a hole, check that there's no wires on the opposite side and then just drill. I used a step drill bit and it drills right through very easily.

Drilled a hole on the drivers side below the vac booster before the metal turns under. I have a 1/0 cable and a 4ga cable down there. My 1/0 ground wire is along the frame rail under the truck.

yea i just drilled a hole like right beside the brake booster and used a rubber grommet. i think my wire is like 4ga

Look under your dash there is a allready a hole by the steering shaft. It may already have wires running thru it. That is what I used to run all my wires thru the firewall. No need for extra holes.

alright thanks guys, just did it, and i moved my wiring for my underglow.
