Custom Box Help
Hello! Having a custom box built for my 04 Ranger finally. What I am running
Rockford Fosgate T1500 1db Mono Amp and 2 Rockford Fosgate T112d4's
Misc stuff in the truck includes Kenwood componet speakers in the front and round 6.5in speakers in the rear hooked up to a T600-4 4 Channel amp both amps are connected to a 10 Farad Rockford Capacitor.
What I need to know is what dimensions should I use in the box and what to tune the port to? I want them to be upfiring because firing into my back just kinda hurts after a while, and idealy in my head I designed it to be ported at the top between the two subs and the amps and cap mounted on the front of the box. Keep in mind I do not have jump seats or the jack stuff in my truck.
Also if anyone is interested I have 2 Rockford P312d4's for sale 200$ for both + shipping :) Money will go towards making my new box and finishing my dynomating ^^b

congrats on getting 2 great subs. i had one ten and it pounded. i did some research and basically you need to chamber off your box into 2 halves. the port diameter is 4 inches by 9 inches long. you will need one port per side. each chamber will need 2.25 cubic feet to sound the best.
remember when you calculate your dimensions for cubic feet subtract 1.5( using 3/4 mdf wood) inches from the external measurements to get the correct calculations.
take length x depth x height / 1728 to get ur cubic footage. also take your port dim of 4x 9 x 3.14/1728 and subtract from your box cubic footage. if you have any questions just pm me. i hope im clear on what ive said.

Thanks ^^ yea this have been my dream subs since I bought the truck and started modding the audio right now they're just in 1.55cu in boxes sealed, so really not getting much better performance than I was out of my P3s :( Should be in a new big ported box though by next weekend and setting off more car alarms, but not mine!
Had to put a Hornet security system on the truck with a 2way remote in fear of having my stuff jacked at college!
