Decent Setup?

Soo I've finally accumulated enough money to actually do a noticeable mod to my truck and I'm big on music so I thought I'd work on the stereo. I am in no way an audiophile or whatever (don't like cruddy equipment though) and like music with bass usually. So I've sort of decided on these parts for my system Eventually I'll get a sub but I'd thought I'd start with a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP deck and 4 Alpine SPS-570A's around. From reading reviews of the speakers they give pretty decent bass for their size, but aren't so big on highs which I don't think will bother me much. I'd rather get the premier version of that deck with the 4V preouts (think they're 4V), but can't really find it at any big places and it's not that big of a deal I guess. Anyways from crutchfield it totals to $390 and I was wondering if anyone had any input. Thanks guys

Also looking at pioneer 6x8's since there seems to be more of a selection. And I might possibly just get one pair more expensive speakers for upfront right now and get one for the back later, I'm on about a $400 budget.

Well I think everyone can agree your headed in the right direction with the Pioneer and Apline. What is the difference in price between the Premier version and the regular one, and the model #'s?

Looks like this site www.onlinecarstereo.com has them both,

Pioneer DEH-P7700MP is $219.00

Pioneer Premier DEH-P770MP is $239.00

Edit: I'm now looking at getting the Premier deck and then getting 6x8 Alpine Type-R's (Alpine SPR-57LP). Should improve higher ranger I guess. Eventually someday I might get a 4 channel Alpine amp but most likely not for a long time.

if you could i would buy that Premier online on that site. That's a great deal, and a great CD player. The preamp voltage of 4 volts is worth the extra 20. It says it also is a tv tuner which if true is awesome. The MSRP on the Premier is only 10 buck more so how much are the local places marking it up?

I haven't checked local shops since all I've heard from people is that they're way overpriced (it's basically bestbuy and a few small ones) and I just generally shop online cause it's where the best prices are usually. I should probably look around though, couldn't hurt.

Yea you are making a good choice on getting something with better highs. You want something with a wide range. That is way people upgrade so they can expand the range of the sound. The stock speakers only do so much. My mind isn't working kind of slow so bear with me.
