Another reason why I don't have a flashy system or drive around with the bass pumping and the windows down. People watch and wait.

what makes u think that i do???? i drive my work truck 98% of the time, did people know what i had? yes, so thats why i know it was someone who knew me and knew where i worked, seeing they cut a 6' fence at my job (only truck in our fence) on a hunch of just maybe something being in the truck, and my better gut feeling says its someone from the body shop i just had my truck at that found out where my truck was.....they worked for that box and im sure it gave them hell so thats why i laugh at them.....and i pay insurence for a reason but next time they wont get anything

and no i dont have a flashy system and no i dont jam it everywhere, thats why i love the gain **** for the amp because i turn it all the way down

Could've even been someone that seen your system on a website like Cardomain or a forum site too. All I'm saying is, be careful what you post. It's not always the poor that steals, or kids.

i have said it before. steal my stereo i dont care thats why i have insurance on it. i think of it as i get to pick out new stuff and rebuild. and thats why you should have a 2 way 1mile range alarm on the truck.

it was someone that knew me or knew what was in the truck and knew where i worked...how many cut a fence open to go after one truck the only truck in that yard that they have no idea whats in it??? on top of that the truck was wiped down they knew what they wanted they knew how to get it, that box i had was from the bottom on the window to the floor and from one side of the truck to the other......they worked to get that box out of the truck without removing the seat inwhich thats how it was installed,,,,,,,i had cds, volt meter, jumper cables, all they wanted was the radio subs and amp oh and my bottle of curve

oh and i forgot thats not a daily drivin truck it had been parked there for about a week or so plus it just came out of the body shop acouple weeks prior so thats why i think it was someone from teh body shop that dug through the truck and i guess found out where i worked

"No officer, that big wrench isn't a "WEAPON" it's to tighten the ball on my hitch." lol

My box is bolted through the floor and the screws holding the speakers and the amp in are 8 sided pin center security screws. Sure someone could get it and take the stuff if they really wanted too, but they'd better bring a sledge, cause that's the only way you'll get the box out. Maybe some ear plugs too....because the Viper is LOUD lol

I had the windows limo tinted. Sure it's illegal.....bah. I've been pulled over before and he didn;t say anything about it. It's not a vette or a mustang. It's a Ranger lol I even had the back ones done again over the factory tint.

Out of sight and out of mind.

I don't really crank it up in town much or at all for that matter. I like knowing that if a good song comes on, I can jam it or I had a bad day at work, I can rattle my troubles away lol

But I know what you're saying. Someone is always out to get something for nothing. If my truck was an everyday driver, it wouldn't have a system.

Thanks for the comments guys.

As far as the speakers, I love them. A buddy of mine runs them in his S-10 Xtreme and loves them too and they have a 4 year warranty! Can't argue with that lol. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking any other speaker because I've heard Kicker, MTX and Polk setups that sound amazing. I guess I really went with Infinity because he was big into doing bass competitions bace when he was younger and he knew more about it then I did.

The box was custom made.....by me....and the frustration level that came with putting the counter top laminate on the outside was borderline numbing lol It came out good though....took a little time, but I'm pleased with the result. It's made of 3/4 fiberboard underneath and covered with counter top laminate instead of the usual carpet. All the wiring is hidden under the box and I wired up a relay so that he head unit could activate the amp and the fans.

The amp is a Rockford POWER T100001 BD amp and it's only running at about a third of its max power. The reason I got an oversized amp is so that it wouldn't need to be getting hot everytime I ran it. Heat kills electronics. The fans are 80mm quad LED computer fans. The two on the front pull air in and the top fans pull it out. The amp has a fan on it already, but I like to keep air circulating inside the box.

That's about it. It took a while to get everything done....but I'm really happy with the outcome. It sounds great and I've found that with the Pioneer 3 way speakers I put in the 4 factory locations and the two subs, the AC/DC live album almost blows you out of the windshield lol

not to knock your system because i looks good. you should swap out your 3ways for a set a components and then your system will sound 10 times better, better midbass response and cleaner crisper highs. and be careful running an amp with that much power on the infinity's because they are notorious for having issues if they are fed too much power i am talking like as little as 25watts over rms, i have seen burnt coils, broken spiders and tinsels, more in those subs than any other brands.
