OEM Radio Display

OEM Radio Display

There is a chronic pproblem with the display going out on OEM radio/cd/tape units. The output from a DC to DC power supply circut for the display element is what goes out. The problem is due to cracked solder joints on a shield (which provides a ground connection from one end of the PCB to the other), and resistors which run too hot. thanks for the info....my dad has an Explorer radio that works but the display is junk....maybe i can fix it.

A couple of years ago, I repaired two 98/99 Explorer dual media head units with dead displays and they both still work fine. One is in my Ranger.
