Yeah I played with one at Best Buy in the store. It's very cool with the touch strip and stuff, but I didn't find it particularly intuitive. Alpine's are sweet as hell, but I'm saving my pennies for a CDA 9835

that's a fun headunit to mess around with. it's sort of hard to navigate thru it.. but once you get used to it.. it's easy.

bad quality build from alpine

my bud works for my audio/video place...so he knows his stuf

every alpine deck with the tilt screen he's sold has come back for rapairs...

the motors are crap this year, alpine knows this, and next year will put in newer, different ones

good thing my old trusty cda-9811 player is still A-OK

i second that statement

alpine has never mass produced before like they have now. Now that best buy carries them they have alot more product to produce than before so their flawless designs are going bye bye its now about how many they can make in the shortest amount of time

always go thru a certified Alpine dealer...

the store has to pass a test to be able to sell the product and offer u the warranty, so when u're local sound shop is charging a bit more, and is certified, go with it...

i sent my alpine 9811 off for some "work" hahahahaha, and they did it free of charge for me....and i was even out of warranty....

theres perks man

I have the cda-9811 also and love it, other than the nominal frequency settings.

i had my alpine sent off for work

they installed a new flip face motor (just in case) and they up'd my pre amp to a Bass Engine Pro, so mine's not the average 9811

My friend just got the 9835 in the mail yesterday and got installed this morning. I looks cool, but I haven't seen much else of it. He also got an Infinity 1211a and 2 kappa perfect 12s. We're puttin them in tomorrow...err...today.
