For the future:
Take a sub's RMS rating (Figure.. 80-330), then give it roughly +20% to +25% more wattage then it needs. Never go below, and never go way above - pushing 1200 watts at a 340 watt sub will blow it. Peak power, dont ever go by peak power - that's what it can absolutely peak on a hard hitting song before it blows over time.
