Head unit Issues

HEy guys im new to the boards so far just looking around it is a nice forum. ok on to my question i recently bought a 96 ranger and its radio was missing when i bought it so i went and got a new pioneer deck. today i went to install it and i started looking for the power because the wiring harnesses were both cut. i was not getting any readings at all so i checked the fuse panel and the radio fuse was blown so i replace it with a 7.5 because thats what was in there. and i still have no power so my question is whats going on here any ideas?
