shallow mount ideas
has anyone ever put a couple of shallow mounts in the back? like i was looking at a few boxes and was wondering if you could get one that fit almost flush with the ledge... just trying to maximize space. like one of these maybe? put two of these back there, you know to fit next to the ledge and the middle hump. lay it down as a down firing system.

the box i have now is great, its just F*KIN huge. 3.50 cu. ft. air space i think. just love to have more room back there. like, i can set stuff on top of it, but its really limited. id like to keep the same general idea of how mine is setup, but just lower it.
lets see your space-conserving setup's
heres an old pic of the box.

Well don't go with Kicker. Their new stuff sucks since they got bought out. Or at least that's the word I keep hearing.
Why not get some MDF and make one that is as deep as the "ledge" and the width of the entire ledge from each side of the cab? Run two 10" or 12" shallow mount with the amplifier mounted in the middle.
EDIT: Pioneer Premier Shallow Mount The subwoofers I posted have a 3.5" mounting depth. I think that ledge might be 5" deep or so. So with the MDF making up the box I think you could get away it.
EDIT #2: Shallow Pioneer with box This one is the box too, but it's almost 7" deep. I'm not 100" sure on the depth of the ledge in the cab.

Is there a big difference between 2 way and 3?

Dual 12" Box This is built for a regular cab, which pretty much only has the ledge behind the seat from what I understand. This might work just on the back of the cab wall.
Dual 12" with Amp Rack This one would be cool too if it would fit. I'm sure you could build something like it.
