Surprised

I am thoroughly surprised about the sound quality with only a Pioneer Head Unit. I am still running the stock speakers in my 2004 Reg Cab! I think it sounds much better than stock. But...I still plan to put Pioneer speakers in the rear. Where are the wires to the back speakers? The harness is full in the dash, but where do the wires go to? They are not under the rear speaker covers, any help appreciated.

They sound good with an after market headunit but any kind of high volume they're terrible. I'll be so happy when my new door speakers get in.

I have the Pioneer deh-p5100ub with rear Infinity Kappa 692.7i 6x9's and it sounds awesome. Couldn't be happier. The wires are probably under the carpet.

If you're going to replace just two speakers, I would do the front ones instead of the rears.

Agreed, due to how the door is made, the front speakers create more bass/midrange than the rear speakers. They also have a much more noticeable effect with the highs than the rears.

I agree on the Kappa's, they sound so clear and are really loud.

I have the Pioneer TS-D6802R in all 4 doors and they sound absolutely fantastic. Very very pleased with them, I have them powered by a Pioneer Avic F90BT
