help pleeeeeez !

So i worked on installing my new speakers today . I purchased 4 new ones, I only had a few hours before work to install them, as time was short i installed only the front and rear drivers side speakers(rather than one speaker on either side) the problem is the new higher watt speakers barely make noise!? i figured the system would be very clear on the "new side" and regular sounding on the stock side but... the new stuff sounds like it has an extreme amount of interference and practically no power?!
I figured that since the new speakers are higher watt the head unit just took the easy path and gave the stock lower watt speakers all the power? idono
possibly a wiring problem?
I soldered the wires with the white stripe to each other and solids to solids, so Im stumped.
Any useful knowledge on this crappy situation would be appreciated!
I will be installing the other two tomorrow, should i switch anything? haha.

Sounds like a wiring problem, maybe get the other side in and see if it does the same thing?

Are you using the stock headunit? I would go back and check all your conections. Also look and see if any part of the wire is striped and touching metal.

SOLVED !

So it was just a case of the head unit ( JVC) powering the stock pass side and not the new side, once I got both sides in the sound was great!(fords sweet hiring harness was ridiculous! both wires had stripes and their were zero positive neg indicators haha) I added 4sq feet of Dynomat $45 but it did help. the fronts sound very clean the rear door still have a bit of vibration. for 1bill these were a great buy and they sound very good.
