looks like a clean install. Just a question about the antenna...aren't you risking a leaky windshield having the rubber up like that?

Install Kit?

Hey I'm putting a KW-NT50HDT in my truck -- The install kit I have really sucks, the front of the unit is set back about 1.5" -- No way I can see to make it any better, what kit are you using?

thanks

Dosnt leak a drop it dosnt go all the way though the windside just under the lip.It follows the rubber down the side to the fender then into the firewall.

I used a metra 95-5600 but if i had to do it again i would go with a metra 95-5817 i ended up dremeling the living **** out of my 95-5600 (after the pics above)to make it like the
95-5817.

AHh the 95-5817 is crap that's the one I have, My unit sits back about 1.5" from the front of the opening. I don't like it one bit and you can't slide it forward any more.

The only advice i can give you is to bust out the dremel.Look at where the unit is catching on the adapter and grind small amonts till it fits. Also is the adapter seating properly in the radio bezel?May need to dremel some more off there too.
