I'm running a 4ch one for my setup, and its not horrible. It does what its supposed to and amplifies the signal from my eq. Only issue I know of is that I've owned 2 other legacy amplifiers in the past, and every single one of them has needed a ground loop isolator to cut out the background noise.
So, they're infamous for giving engine noise, and the sound quality might not be as good as a top end amplifier, but I've never had one die on me and don't see any wrong in giving one a try. If you think it sucks, sell it... they've been around for a long time, that's got to mean something as well.

Why would you want to amplify your legacy? Is it a pride thing? Want to look bigger than life after death? I don't get it...

I think pyramid is legacy, or the other way around. Aside from some name and color changes, they are almost exactly alike... or at least they used to be. Last time I saw a pyramid amp was in 97.

Get a cheap RF, Kenwood, or Pioneer. You you really look at each page im sure you can find a great amp at a great price that also fits your needs.

You could look at Audiobahn, WAY better than Flea market stuff, and wont hurt the bank either. It cannot be compaired to the names mentioned above.

How many watts RMS do you need, and how many channels? Whats your budget?

I'm running a 4ch 1600W and it's not too bad depending on what you're looking for. Performance, no.. Casual low level listening, yes.

I get quite a bit of feedback coming from my amp but as soon as the music starts, it drowns it out even when listening to it on volume 1
