I remember seeing someone saying that the sub runs off of its own set of outputs but I'm not sure. You should pull the stereo and take a look.

the factory sub gets it's signal from a low level signal coming from the small plug on the back of the radio. The only way I know to run the factory sub with a aftermarket radio is to by pass the factory amp and install a small amp to power it.

Then get a set of male RCA ends and splice it in. I did in my RX7 with stock Bose subs and it worked just fine.

if you try that you will also have to connect a power and ground to it as they also come from that plug.

Same with the Mazda. Well the power wire in the harness was just used as a amp turn on wire and the amp got it's power from it's own fuse in the fuse block. I wonder if it's the same in his truck.

i am looking at the wiring diagram right now to find out. you have a audiphile system and not a tremor right.

it looks like the amp gets it power from the junction box and the remote turn on and the signal wires from the plug on the back of the radio.

here is the audiophile system plug color codes.

1 WH/VT subwoofer,enable
2 BK/LG ground
3 BK/LG ground
4 VT/LB voltage supplied at all times
5 VT/LB voltage supplied at all times
6 not used
7 LG/BK subwoofer, audio signal positive
8 LB/RD subwoofer, audio signal negative
9 not used
10 not used

All these wire colors are for a 2004 with the audiophile system.

If it was the Tremor system then the truck would say Tremor on it and you wouldn't have rear seats. Instead of the counsel sub it would have a floor mounted 10 or 12(not sure) in the back.

You will be able to run the factory sub off of a aftermarket head unit.

You have the audiophile system if it is in the center console.

good luck

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but did anyone ever figure out how to hook up that four pin sub plug to an aftermarket HU with a single RCA out for the sub? Do I only need one of the wires and if so which one?
