My polk db speakers have been ok but the front left took a crap on me . I think the crossover is bad. The tweeter works but the woofer only works some of the time. I already tried checking all the connections. so i decided to try a new set of speakers in the front. the speakers i have really are not loud enough compared to my sub because i just have a pioneer deh 6700 deck powering them . I don't really plan to get an amp.

I'm thinking of trying infinity kappa 682.9 but i'm wonding if there is an easy place to mount the crossovers. Also wondering if maybe this speaker is just overkill.some people also complain about the low end.

also considering the infinity reference but its only 30 dollars less. it won't have the crossover to deal with and that is a plus.

i'm thinking the 2 ohm impedence might help get a little more volume.

i'm open to any other speaker suggestions looking to spend around 100.
