I'm getting ready to replace my front speakers. They came with foam similar to this install
. I am wondering about the order of material overlap in this process. Is it better to have the speaker mounted directly to metal, or would a layer of deadener between the speaker and metal help? The foam would still be included.
So, for us visual learners
metal - foam - speaker
metal - deadener - foam - speaker
...or I suppose I can leave out the foam for ~
metal - deadener - speaker
Thanks for your input!
