where to mount tweeters
Did some searching and im not happy, i read a nice long arguement on RPS about the best place to mount these, and i was hoping you guys had some clever input. the components are ALPINE sps-171A its pretty common to mount them in the A pillar, I'm not trying to be original i have just read that they may cancel eachother a bit aimed at themselves.... what do you guys think would be the best place to mount them for SQ not looks
ps the midbass is gonna stay in the stock location that wasnt clear

I didn't do it in my ranger, but my friend did it in his Accord and the spot is very similar, and it sounds great. Don't put it on the a-pillar. This spot points toward the riders, it's direct but sounds great, and you can hear both left and right from either driver or passenger. Its a suggestion, I run with SQ also. With flush mount they look great.
this pic is from another member's post, but i put the gray dot where I mention to put it.

i have mounted mine on the door, where the mirror adjustment parts would go if they were manual. I got a tweeter kit from a brand named rampage, and they've got some pretty cool round, angled 45 degree pieces that mount to the door, then the tweeter mounts to them. that way they face right at you, works great.
