My "get loud" Thread

I figured I'd make a little build log to show my summer build. My new build will be two Sundown Audio SA-15's powered by a MB Quart DSC2000.1D. Box will be 6.6ft^3 and tuned to 34hz. My first part of this build was to replace my headunit. I ditched my Pioneer Avic F700BT and picked up a Pioneer AVH-4300DVD.

Pic of the box:

The box will be made of 3/4" birch and will be double baffled and 45's in every corner. I'm in the process of selling my current sub to fund the new ones so once that gets sold, this build will be started. Hopefully it'll be kinda loud.

haha i should have written down that equation my teacher told us today, he gave us a formula to calculate the resonant frequency of the box for our subs so that even a note as low as 25 Hz is just as loud as 2.5 kHz. could come in handy for building...

LOL yea it's much better. The only way I can compare the two headunits is to say the F700BT is more like a Blackberry where the 4300 is more like an Android phone. It might sound dumb but it makes sense to me haha

Yeah I'm probably going with the 4200 or 4300 next time instead of the navi double din. The F90 was nice but I don't need the navi anymore

It's going to sit on the ledge at the back of the cab.

I wish I had pics. The guy is starting to act a little shady. He used to respond to my PM's right away. Now it takes him a day or so.
